Eldritch Almanac: Starting January 1st

Monthly Tales of Festivals Uncanny & Strange

"Something strange has grown in a crack at Kintsugi Books, and it isn't precious metals... but the blood-smudged pages of the Eldritch Almanac!" -- Dudgrick Bevins

Eldritch Almanac is a living anthology collecting tales of the weird, eerie, and macabre as manifest in your favorite holidays and days of observance throughout the cycle of the year.

We know that even with their charm and cheer, often something odd, maybe even wrong, is lurking just under the surface of our celebrations -- sometimes it is right out in the open, even if we smile and pretend otherwise.

Here we will showcase bizarre surprises found in moments as far flung as New Year's Day and New Year’s Eve. Everything from President’s Day, Groundhog Day, Mardi Gras, and Ostara, to Dia De Los Muertos, Diwali, and Yule is fair game – even novel and oddball days like Pi Day, Talk Like A Pirate Day, Kiss a Ginger Day, and more.

Follow Eldritch Almanac each month as we add new twisted stories of the preternatural from the perspective of festivals ancient and new, written by a witch’s dozen of authors and poets.

Eldritch Almanac presents flash fiction, prose, or poetry in the horror, fantasy, sci-fi, or weird fiction genres. Content may be rated anywhere from G to R. Check each post for ratings.

Look here January 1st for a new terror-packed tale of the New Year!
